2020-2021 school year
Dear Pilot Knob families and guardians,
Welcome to a highly unconventional school year! Like all teachers, I wish I was teaching in the classroom every day instead of through Google Meets and Seesaw, but I am already blown away by our student's willingness to adapt and capacity for creativity in this digital format. Art will look different this year, but our standards and learning goals will be taught and adapted to fit the needs of every student, as always. I am working hard to provide materials to each student. If there is every something your student needs, please, contact me and I will make it happen. If you would like to donate to the cause of creating an equitable art education for each student, take a look at my Amazon wish list. I am always happy to accept donations of:
Paper, yarn, textiles and fabrics, drawing and coloring tools, paintbrushes, empty toilet paper rolls and paper grocery bags, lysol wipes and hand sanitizer, magazines, newspapers, rolling pins and eating utensils.
Once again, do not hesitate to reach out, especially if you need something adapted for your student, or if you need translations or other services in order to help your student succeed at home. I'm always happy to mail home a card to a student who needs a pick me up or to call or webchat to provide help or words of encouragement.
Thank you for supporting your student during this time. Teachers could not succeed without the support of our student's guardians.
Sincerely,
